Dr. Mark Weiss
is better known in Tulsa as a friendly and generous Ophthalmologist than he is as a photographer. He has been in private practice since 1977, and one way he helps his patients cope with eye problems is to provide them with a helpful booklet he wrote, "The Patients' Guide to Glaucoma" (click here for more info). Dr. Weiss also established an eye clinic several years ago at a local homeless shelter, where he donated equipment. He still gives free eye exams there one afternoon a week and provides free reading glasses to those in need.
Dr. Weiss has quietly pursued photography as a serious hobby for over 25 years, but until now has only shown his remarkable images to family and a handful of friends. Whether his images are of homeless people, picturesque scenes or manequins, Dr. Weiss consistently demonstrates his ability to capture the moment with an exceptional "eye" for lighting, subject and composition.
Dr. Weiss invites you to enjoy his images. Please call or e-mail him if you are interested in discussing his photographs, his Glaucoma Guide or his efforts to assist the homeless.
